Lou Ambers on the Turf in Boxing Action with Henry
Original caption: Madison Square Garden, New York: Ambers Down. Did He Fall Or Was He Pushed? Punches came so fast and furiously that even ringsiders were in doubt whether lightweight champion slipped or was punched to the canvas by contender double-champion Henry Armstrong in sixth round of their fight for Lou's lightweight crown. However, he got there tough, and Lou stayed down for a count of eight. He is pictured sitting out the waltz as referee Billy Kavanaugh herds homicidal Hennery to a neutral corner.
